Training and developmentThe war for talent is ongoing. Organisations continually seek to identify and retain people with talent through the channels at their disposal. One such strategic channel is the training and development of people at all levels within organisations. The Bytes has successfully embarked on learnerships as a training and development initiative focused on young adults for the last seven years. This has placed the Bytes in a unique position as one of the best empowerment organisations to work for in the ICT sector and South Africa. These Programmes are managed and implemented by Bytes People Solutions. Centre of ExcellenceBytes People Solutions gained a wealth of experience over the years and implemented more than 1700 learnerships throughout the country. During this period learners' gained workplace experience and secured employment in the BTG operations, Altron Group of Companies and various other client companies.
As an accredited ISETT and SERVICES SETA training provider Bytes People Solutions have also achieved the milestone by registering as a Private Further Education and Training College with the Department of Education. Bytes People Solutions pioneered in 2006 a learnership for learners with various living disabilities. This is repeated every year. The learnerships enable learners to obtain a qualification or parts thereof that are registered with the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA). Credits are obtained through completing the programmes. These programmes are targeted towards unemployed and or entry level and junior employees and are implemented in the following four groupings:
A full qualification.A full qualification plus for example a Microsoft Certification. As a short credit bearing skills programme which are part of a full qualification. As specific IT unit standards which are part of a qualification not registered with the Isett Seta. Leveraging and collaborating with Bytes PeopleSolutions in a structured manner can contribute significantly to the development of talent in an organisation through learnerships. |
